Reward Sets & Rates
There are two types of positive episode endings to your prowling experience. One episode ending is simply a successful narrative ending where you'll be allotted the rewards you've discovered. The second is a boss encounter where you'll have to fight to attain a successful ending or unsuccessful ending.
Positive narrative endings offer different rewards sets, which are based on percentage. A normal successful ending to a prowl may deliver a set of Common Rewards (high % chance), Uncommon Rewards (med % chance), or Rare Rewards (low % chance).
A successful boss fight episode has its own reward sets. These may offer either a set of Common Rewards (high % chance) or Uncommon Rewards (med % chance). Note that being defeated by a boss counts as a failed prowl. No rewards are offered for a failed prowl, and as a penalty you will receive an XP deduction specific to the boss' class.
As well as the reward item sets, a global pool is also hard at work to deliver rewards. This pool is not specific to any one area, but all areas. Having a global pool allows for the distribution of rewards with percentages independent of your reward sets.
