Aside from being fun, the purpose of Prowling is truly in its rewards! You'll want to acquire as many materials and other rewards as you can so that you can craft upgrades or new, stronger powers to aid you in your PvP [Player vs Player] encounters.

While you may certainly Prowl any way you like and will acquire many useful goods, crafting using fusion will be your mainstay. Numerous fusion power recipes exist which span various categories and each individual recipe requires its own unique ingredients. As you hone in on a crafting a recipe, it will become beneficial to you to choose to prowl certain areas over others to attempt to acquire the items and amounts specific to your needs.

How to Prowl 1 (Quick)

• You'll receive 8 free prowls every six hours, making for a total of 24 Free Prowls available each day, so check in often!

• Prowling consists of [4] explorable continents where your prowling episodes take place. Entering a continent will start your episode.

• Each continent contains [4] inner areas, or episodes. Each episode contains four distinct choices in how you explore. Of these choices, one will always be a navigational choice. This allows you to return one episode back, should you want to explore elsewhere. The other three will bring you forward through the episode to experience your adventure.

• While you are in an active episode and have chosen to move forward, a button will be present to signify  the action you're undertaking in your adventure. Continue tapping this button until you've successfully completed your prowl.

• There are two types of episode endings to your experience. One episode ending is simply a successful narrative prowl, where you'll be allotted all of the rewards you've discovered. The second is an enemy encounter, where you'll have to fight an exciting boss to attain a successful ending.

• Episode endings offer different rewards sets, which are based on percentage. A normal successful ending to a prowl may deliver common, uncommon, and rare reward sets. A successful boss fight may offer common and uncommon rewards. Being defeated by a boss counts as a failed prowl. No rewards are offered for a failed prowl, and a small loss of experience may be incurred.

• Note that skipping a prowl (using the X at the top of the screen or action bar) will return you to the exploration screen. Any Free Prowl Point of Instinct Point used to begin your prowl will not be returned.

How to Prowl 2 (Detailed)

• Each day you'll accrue 8 Free Prowls every six hours. A completed Prowl costs [1] of these points. When all of your free points have been used, you can continue to prowl using Instinct Points which are purchasable in the Crypt.

• You can access Prowling by tapping the Prowl button on your homescreen. This will bring you to the Exploration screen. Here you can choose from any of four major continents found on the Darkside. Choose any you like!

• Once you've entered a continent, you'll have the option to continue by using a Free Prowl point, or return to the previous screen. Note that Instinct Point use is only available after all Free Prowls have been used.

• Once you confirm your point to be used you'll enter your chosen continent.

•  This is your Episode Start, where you'll have [4] choice options as to where to begin your episode. Each of these choices will bring you to a different location. Locations are specific to the type of item farming you'd like to undertake. For example, if your priority is to acquire wood items, then you'd choose to enter a forested area; or should your priority be hunting items, you'll want to enter a city, and so on.

• After choosing your desired area, you'll be greeted with a new image and narrative description describing where you are. You may choose to continue your adventures within that area, or return back to the Episode Start. Should you continue, you'll begin your hunt! Should you return, you can choose a different location to explore. Using these options allows to have control over where and when you want to farm for loot!

• Once you've continued through your adventure, you'll either discover loot or encounter a dangerous boss. Should you discover loot, your Prowl will end, you'll receive your rewards, and can then choose to Prowl again anywhere you like.

• Should you encounter a boss, you'll have to fight to survive! If your boss fight is successful, your Prowl will end and you'll receive your rewards. Should your boss fight end in failure, you'll take a small XP loss and your prowl will end.

•  Please note that using the back arrow at the very top left of your screen will end your prowl and return you to the exploration screen, and the point you spent to enter that episode will be consumed.

Reporting issues with Prowling
Prowling was created to be easily used but is in fact quite a deep and complex feature. Issues are never foreseen, but can occasionally crop up. Should you encounter any issues with the Prowling feature, here are some helpful tips to make your reports easier:

Open a New Ticket Request
Just like any other aspect of the game, opening a New Ticket Request is critical to contacting a support agent and having an issue solved. Opening a new ticket request requires a valid email address, and a profile on our Zendesk CSD.

Episode IDs
Each portion where story content is seen on the screen is considered an "episode". Episodes take place upon entering a specific area. To help with tracking these episodes, we have included a hidden number (or sequence of numbers) at the end of each final text block. This number is an Episode ID.

When reporting an issue with story text, such as typos or missing words etc., you can use an episode ID to speed up the investigation process. Simply deliver the episode ID to the CSD agent handling your ticket request, and the developers will be able to instantly locate the text.

You can easily find the episode ID by long-pressing the text on your screen and highlighting it until the numbers are revealed, then copy and paste (or write down) these numbers for your support agent. Without this information the developers will have no way of knowing where to look to solve the issue.

Enemy Bosses
The best way to report any issue with a specific boss is by taking a screen-capture or making note of their specific name and class. Without being able to deliver this information to your CSD agent, the developers will have no way of knowing where to look to solve the issue.

User Interface
Should there be an issue with any aspect of the User Interface, such as buttons or missing graphics, please include a screen-capture, the specific location in which the issue is happening, or an episode ID if applicable as information for your support agent. Without this information the developers will have no way of knowing where to look to solve the issue.
