Will I Lose My Account?

A. No, your account is saved in our database and is safe with us.

Think of your VDS account like a car. It can be in any garage (Facebook, on an App, or on the Internet) and it's still your car. You just need to make sure you have the keys—and using our VDS Account Validation Tool page is an excellent way to ensure that you do.

Will Anything Change in VDS?

A. The game will be the same, but your login will slightly change.

Everything about the game will remain as you knew it, with one exception. Each time you enter VDS going forward you'll be required to use Facebook Login. The first time you enter the game, you'll be prompted to use this. 

You'll want to have the same email and password you use for Facebook ready and on hand. Once complete,  you'll be sent right into your account. If you've already logged into the game with FB login, you may be greeted by an FB login "Continue as yourname". Press continue and you'll be sent right into your account to play!

Why Facebook Login?

A. It is needed to connect you to your VDS account. 

Think of Facebook Login as the keys to your car. It's how you open the car door. In short, Facebook Login provides our systems with your secret Facebook ID (your keys). This ID is encrypted (like the signal from a key fob), which means we literally can't see what your ID is. However our system (the car door) requires it to give you access, and this is currently the only way to connect you to your account.

Is FB Login Required?

A. Yes. For now FB Login is required. 

In the future VDS will be looking to create a landing screen with various forms of Login options. To begin, VDS will have an Email and Password Login system. Once this option becomes available, you can choose to longer use Facebook Login.

Can I Choose Not to Use FB Login?

A. For now, no.  

If you choose not to use FB Login you'll be denied access to the game.

Is Facebook Login a Pop-up?

A. Yes, it is a pop-up dialog.

Please be sure that you allow "pop-ups  for this site" when you enter the game, so that FB Login can be accessed. If your FB Login pop-up is disabled, you'll be stuck on the VDS Loading screen indefinitely.

I Only See a "Frozen" Loading Screen?

A. Your browser has blocked the Facebook Login pop-up.

We require that you use Facebook Login to connect you to your account. Please be sure that you allow "pop-ups  for this site" when you enter the game, so that FB Login can be accessed.

Does Facebook Login Expire?

A. Yes. It expires after 24hrs.

Whether you are playing the game or not, Facebook Login is set to expire after 24hrs. This is a preventative security measure to protect your should you not be at your computer during a browser or cookie hijack attempt. It also acts as a safeguard from others who may gain access to your computer device.

Can Facebook Login Expire Sooner than 24hrs?

A. Yes, it can.

Facebook Login expiration is run on a browser cookie. Should you have a setting on your browser that clears cookies sooner than a 24hr period, Facebook Login will automatically expire as soon as your cookies are cleared. 

What if I Login to the Wrong FB Account?

A. You'll enter VDS as a new player.

Please be careful of this. If this does happen, please contact us here at the CSD with a new Ticket request so an agent can walk you through troubleshooting steps to get you connected to your correct account.

Can I Buy Favor/Instinct Points After the Move?

A. Yes, you'll have immediate access to all purchases in VDS.

We have partnered with Stripe as our new payments processor. Stripe will provide you with numerous payment options, is easy to use, and has excellent security. It is superior to Facebook's payment system in every way for us and you. Stripe is a respected company, used globally by many well-know companies, and we're proud to have partnered with them.

What if I Can't get into the Game?

A. Contact us immediately

If you've used our VDS Account Validation Tool page and have pop-ups allowed for the web address we've provided, there shouldn't be any issues. But in the event that something unforeseen happens, please don't hesitate to reach out to us!

How Will We Get Future Live Updates?

A. The CSD and (for now) the FB App Page.

We'll continue to use the CSD for all major community announcements. For live updates, we'll continue to use our Facebook App Page temporarily. We intend to migrate our community to Discord to be better in touch with you. Discord is a live chat environment and is perfectly suited for a community like VDS. We'll have announcements on this as we get closer to launching it!
