Dearest Ladies and Lords of the Rising,
As your reign of greatness envelopes the lands, new and illustrious accoutrements come your way. Are you prepared to further amplify your place in the Rising? If so, then we are pleased to announce that new forms of game customization are at the Crypt! Beginning today the Rising will bring Styles to your world, where you’ll be able to enjoy the endless wonders of Frames and the immeasurable awe of Banners!
But just what are these new wonders?
• Frames
Just as the name implies, gorgeous frames will be available to wrap the powerful portrait you’ve chosen to represent yourself! A variety of killer designs will be available in multiple colors.
• Banners
Thanks to a new addition on your Profile, you can now display any of the spectacular art of your choosing! A variety of aesthetic subjects and artistic mediums will be available.
These new additions will work hand-in-hand with your Avatars to give you more control over how your game looks and push your profile to new heights for you and your visitors.

| | As gamers, we’re a social breed. And given our loyalty and respect for the games we love, there's a certain amount of pride that’s evoked when we’re offered a place to represent our own personal tastes where others can get to know us. As proof of this, when avatars launched we saw a great reception—with nearly all of you embracing them! Thanks to Avatars, the Rising is now aglow with exciting personal imprints showcasing who you are, who your vampire is, and in many cases a little of both!
As devs we really love this notion. To us customization equals representation and it’s a perfect fit for a social game. So we’re really excited to bring you this step further by introducing Frames and Banners.
Frames are a very straightforward idea. They’ll act as a bolster to your vast array of avatars and offer cool stylistic embellishments to be changed on the fly. While we were testing the concept, it seemed like such a miniscule change... but we found very quickly that once you slot the perfect frame over your avatar of choice, you’ll wonder how you ever got by without them. Their cool factor is just unparalleled.
Meanwhile, pride for our entire gaming space becomes especially true in the case of Banners, where you’ll find we’ve added a new space on your profile for a customizable banner to display at the top. It’s the perfect way to let your coven and guests see even more of you. In many cases, you may even be able to match your avatar to your banner for a unified look. If that isn’t cool enough, we’ve also connected your banner to your home screen, so when you customize your profile banner it will be simultaneously reflected there under the new Dark Rising logo on the homescreen. The Rising will forever feel like your Rising.
Oh... and we also made every style item giftable!

• Homescreen When you first log in you’ll notice that in place of the Dark Trinity is a new image and the new Dark Rising logo. This is your new default banner, and this will be the space which changes simultaneously with your profile at your whim. Your profile will be free of the logo and will showcase only your chosen art!
• Your Profile Your Profile screen will see updates, where at the top you’ll see your new banner space, with the default banner discussed above preselected for you.
As well, your “Gallery” button will be renamed to “Styles”. Upon tapping this button you’ll be taken to your new Styles Gallery, where you’ll be greeted with three tabs: Avatars, Banners, and Frames. As with Avatars before, this area will house your entire collection of customization items. The layout will echo that of the Crypt to help make navigating both spaces feel comfortable and familiar. We kept it as simple as possible, so your new Banners and Frames tabs will function exactly as your Avatars.
• The Crypt Upon visiting the Crypt, you’ll find the Avatar Shop has been renamed to Style Shop. Upon entering, you’ll find three new tabs which house your Style selections. Avatars, banners, and frames will be purchasable for Instinct Points, and once attained will be found in your own personal collection. For now, all new style items will be only available at the Crypt, and will be how you acquire the first of your selections.
• Send A Gift When you visit anyone in your coven, your Send a Gift button will now have options for gifting Avatars, Banners, and Frames. Don’t forget this is a true gifting system, meaning anything you give to another person will be removed from your style gallery and delivered to theirs. Notifications of gifts sent and received will appear in your Assists feed—though we strongly encourage you to send a personal message along with your gift, as the Assists feed has a shorter clearout timer.

More In the Future
For those who may be wondering if these new style items will come through Prowling rewards (as it was with Avatars), please note that we’re currently not expecting to bring these new items to Prowling wholesale. That said, we’re working on many exciting new systems for the Rising, and we absolutely do intend to bring more exclusive Avatars, Frames, and Banners to the game in a variety of ways.
